She started her professional career in the year 1990 with an off Broadway show called The Big Funk, by John Patrick Shanley. In The Perfect Tribute, she had her debut TV role one year later. When she played as a support role in the movie the film Basic Instinct Her career began to take off. The Firm was the film in which she was the lead lady for the first and only moment. This was opposite Tom Cruise, Gene Hackman and many others. The 90s saw her working with many top actors in Hollywood, including Gwyneth paltrow and Hugh Grant. In the hit international police procedural Crime Minds, the character of Dr. Alex Blake was recently performed by her.
